The Ravenclaw diadem (also known as the lost Ravenclaw diadem) was the only known relic that belonged to Rowena Ravenclaw, the founder of the Ravenclaw House at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Etched on its surface was the famous Ravenclaw quote: "Ingenuity beyond measure is man's greatest treasure." It was said to increase the wisdom of the wearer, which is the most prized attribute of the House of Ravenclaw. It had an oval-shaped blue sapphire. The tiara was later stolen by her daughter, Helena, a fact Rowena kept a secret from the other founders until she was on her deathbed.
